Anyone give birth on due date ??

Hi all just feeling very anxious especially in this heat!!
My due date is today so was just wondering if any of you have actually give birth on your due date or had any signs?
This is my second pregnancy and already been booked in to be induced 5th August (was meant to be 2nd but hospital had no places) I'm a high risk apparently as my son (first pregnancy) was so small apparently. He was 6lb 13oz I'm only a size 8/10 so tbh I never thought for me that was a tiny baby but they're saying different.

My sis gave birth on her due date, and my contractions started on my due date but he came following day, So it does happen!
You'll probably go into labour naturally before the 5th...hopefully....being induced is pretty awful so I'd avoid at all cost!!

@sianyb83 ahh nice to hear that it can actually happen then lol. Yeah I'm hoping she comes way before 5th, nope with my son I was induced at 41+5 the worst pain imaginable, really want it to happen natural with this one x

I didn't, was five days early but a friend of mine did, bang on the date, quite spontaneous. As siany said, it does happen (but most people are a bit early or a bit late so be patient).

Second pregnancy, although contractions started at around 5am and I delivered at 10.30pm

I gave birth on my due date with my second dd had went into labour the day before after a sweep. I was a size 10-12 when i had my.first and she was 6lb 6oz and noone said she was small even tho she was 9 days late 😕 my son was 11 days over and 9lb 8oz yet they thought he'd be quite small too i'm 30 weeks pregnant now and hospital want me in for a section at 38 because of previous ds's size so guess every hosp is different

Third pregnancy I was induced 3 days before DC2 birthday, DC3 still arrived on DC2s birthday... that date just likes me 🤷🏻‍♀️😂

I did with both of mine. Both spontaneous.

She came on her due date and I had her with no pain relief or interventions
I had a student midwife and it was her first birth and the other midwife said “they’re not all like this!”

DS1 arrived the day before his due date, and with DS2, I went into labour on his due date, and he was born that morning.

I had my son bang on his due date, second pregnancy took around 3 hours from to start to finish

Yes, I (spontaneously) had my third baby on her due date.

Yup. First time I did. Second time was two weeks early.

I think I read that around 1 in 20 babies are born on their due dates? So it’s a bit unusual but far from rare!

My mum did with me, but that was when EDD was based purely on LMP dates. I was 6lb 15oz and not considered small!

Yep, the midwives thought I would be late as she wasn't very engaged at my last appointment, but I woke up the morning before my due date with back ache that kept coming and going, the start of my contractions. She arrived the next day which was my due date!

DD was ten days late as baby number one. DS (DC2) arrived on his due date (just 😉). Only 5% do apparently. Good luck!!!

I did. Went into labour at five past midnight, waters went at five and he was here at ten am. Had been to the midwife three days before and wasn’t engaged at all. My mother couldn’t believe the baby was here when I phoned because ‘first babies are always late and it’s always a long labour’. Well, clearly not, mum!

Yes, two of mine were born on their due date. And my third was born the day after, but I went into hospital on the night of my due date.

Both of mine arrived on their due date.

I was so sure second one would be right on time that I planned childcare for DC1 around it! Sheer chance, of course.

My son was my second baby and was born on his due date

Also my son was that exact weight at birth 6lb 13 and born on due date and I was a size 8 and I was never once told he was small or had low birth weight
