Feeling supper worried about another ectopic pregnancy?

Hi,

So I have a scan on Friday ( I will just be 4 weeks).

Will they be able to tell me if the pregnancy is ectopic or in the right place?

I feel like i really need to know.

I've woken up today after two days of progesterone supplements with sore boobs and feeling tired. Also have a bad back ache!

I am so worried, I just want to know everything is okay:(

I’m surprised they are giving you a scan at 4 weeks, it is very rare to see anything at all that early, whether ectopic or not, I had some cramps early pregnancy in my side, they have since gone away, but i am having a scan on Monday at 6 weeks to check for ectopic. They said this is the earliest they can be sure to see anything.

At 4 weeks, I'm not sure they will be able to tell you much.
Both my boys were conceived with just one tube, post ectopic. The 2 weeks from bfp to a scan were constant knicker watch, but everything was ok.
Hope you are snuggling your newborn bundle in 8 months time

@amy1245 yes they have done bloods twice and HCG is doubling nicely, but even transvaginal ultrasound is unlikely to show anything at 4 weeks, it is possible! Just unlikely, if nothing is seen don’t panic it’s completely normal, just request a follow up in 1-2 weeks.

I had a blood test last Wednesday morning at 4+2, then again Friday morning at 4+4. They like HCG to double every 48hours so early on.
