Travel insurance for gestational diabetes?

Can anyone recommend an insurer who will cover gestational diabetes for a European trip at 29 weeks pregnant?

I've only found one quote which is £138 and offers no cover for anything except the diabetes (eg no cancellation cover).

I've tried using money supermarket comparison site but they don't have gestational diabetes as a condition just normal diabetes and I'm not sure if that's the same!

Thank you! Smile

Are you flying? My sister had gestational diabetes and she wasn't allowed to fly. Some airlines won't let you fly after 28 weeks without a fit to fly letter and the GP and consultant wouldn't give her one.

Ravenhall do specific pregnancy travel insurance, not sure about the gestational diabetes but you could check with them. They did require a letter from GP (or midwife if they'll do it) to make the insurance valid.
