So I’ve had the most incredible week!
After REALLY worrying about my fertility and not having periods for months at a time, DH and I found out we’d done it.

BFP as of yesterday, I ovulated on 12th July (I know that as test everyday. I’d been taking cheapo tests which were showing negative but the moment I took a FR/CB it showed immediately as pregnant!

I’ve been feeling really sick the last couple of days (thought it was a bug) and had a metallic taste in my mouth!

But it’s so early. Is it linked to the pregnancy or am I simply unwell??? Please help!!

I’m so worried that something will go wrong now too. I don’t drink/smoke/am a healthy weight and in my mid/late 20’s but we want this SO much and I’m terrified 😭🙈

Just looking for some seasoned mummy advice please

I'm going through the same thing, about to create my own post. I think mine is twins though. Some women just produce more HCG than others. I really wouldn't let yourself worry too much until your first scan ❤️

jojo8208 · 24/07/2019 11:56

And congrats 😍😍😍😍

jojo8208 · 24/07/2019 11:57

And worrying causes more damage to your body than most things so try to keep calm & crossing everything for you it's a sticky xxxx

Congratulations!!

The metallic taste and feeling nauseous are most likely pregnancy related. I've heard of people complaining about a metallic taste before testing and I think it's quite a common symptom. I had no symptoms at all before about 9 weeks when the fatigue started. It's so difficult not to worry once you've got your BFP after trying for SOOO long but try to keep calm and relax. Time seems to slow down in the weeks up to the first scan! You could always pay for a private early scan if you needed to put your mind at ease. I'm not sure how early they do them though.

Have a happy and healthy 9 months!

I found out I was pregnant at 6 weeks however days after conception I had moments of feeling sick if I got up too quick and lightheadedness (is that a word!?) I also came out in loads of spots so I guessed it was related. Symptoms then eased at 7 weeks before coming back at 9 weeks

I ovulated 2 days later than you :) I most certainly can tell I’m pregnant now! I tested at 3w+3 because I felt off and kind of knew. So yes, you can feel symptoms early on :)

iamallastonishment92 · 24/07/2019 15:06

Thank you all so much! You’ve put my mind at ease!
@Keyboard91 Ahhh congrats! I literally had to cancel plans for brunch at the weekend as I felt so sick all day 🤢 currently on the sofa with a bucket. Haven’t actually been sick yet but Swinging between super hungry and horrifically sick!

Went to eat my fav choc earlier and had to spit it out 😷

I also ovulate on 12/07! And my symptoms are so exactly the same as yours. I got bfp a day earlier but was faint. Feel HORRENDOUS. Hope you feel a little better soon & glad you're feeling more relaxed

iamallastonishment92 · 24/07/2019 15:52

@jojo8208

Omg! We’ve got our own little club! Are you using First Response? I was getting faint positives on others but then got that and it was a strong positive straight away!

This was yesterday about 3pm! Crazy haha. Both lower sensitivity too. Explains why I'm so sick I guess.

Horrible. Do you have twins in the family at all? I'm starving too but everything making me heave haha xx

@jojo

We’ve only been trying for about 5 month...but 2 cycles due to my irregularity, so ofc im considering myself completely blessed.

DH made himself a cured meat/cheese/olive board for lunch (his day off) and I almost killed him!

Currently in Dr waiting room (had an apt booked about irregular cycles weeks ago) gonna ask if there’s anything they can give me but not expecting much!

  • I’d vomit every day in return for a healthy little bub...but ofc id rather not!

Just got back from docs - signed off and cyclazine.

Ran through the front door and sat in front of loo for 20 mins wrenching....DH suggested I ‘try not to think about it’ 😡

Omg I didn’t even think Of that. Morning sickness cancelled!

Haha. My partner has turned into a child. Reality & responsibility has hit him I think, hard enough being sick isn't it haha.

I'm an emotional wreck it's crazy. Also on cyclizine & really helps so fingers crossed for you 🤞🤞
