Am I pregnant ? Negative test ?

So basically I'm 5 days late ... still no period .. I've had minimal cramping a couple of times over the past week but nothing major and it goes pretty much as soon as it comes .

I had done a pregnancy test today and it is negative .

Thoughts on this ?

Also like to mention I've had a sore through cold symptoms last week haven't took anything apart from paracetamol though could this effect my period being late ? Not the paracetamol the being late I mean

I already have two children . My periods are usually regular .

Any chance you could of ovulated later delaying your period?

I honestly wouldn't have a clue . What could cause me to ovulate later ?

I would leave it until the weekend and if no sign of your period test again. Periods are fickle buggers even something as stupid as warm weather or a cold can make them late no matter how regular they normally are.

Thank you . Il test again at the weekend . We weren't particularly trying for a baby . It would be a nice surprise though haha

Being unwell, under stress or even things like travel can affect ovulation. Do you monitor when you ovulate in your cycle at all? If not it could be a case of delayed or absent ovulation this month which would also delay your period. I would wait till the weekend and, if still no period, test using a early detection pink dye test such as FRER as they’re amongst the most accurate.

I was 7 days late and tested with middle of the afternoon wee and it negative.
Waited 3 says and tested with morning wee - positive! That positive is now 8.5 years old!
