Anyone else had swollen sore gums at the last trimester (week 36)? It really hurts and not sure what to do. Any tips? Is it hormonal? No bleeding just very sore- I brush my teeth around 5 times a day and nothing Hmm

I think you are brushing too much which is probably making it worse.

My gums are really sore, and bleeding. I'm currently 34 weeks. Dentist prescribed me chlorhexidine and told me to use soft brush.

There's no point irritating angry gums by brushing 5 times

I'm 19 weeks and mine are like this and I definitely don't brush too hard etc, my gums are inflamed and my wisdom tooth got slightly infect, our mouths are a lot more sensitive during pregnancy, I visited my dentist a few days ago she told me to rinse with corsadyl mouth wash twice a day as this is an antiseptic. I'd should help your gums xx

I do second @Cosmogirl86 however, I would stick to brushing twice a day I believe 5 times a day may irritate the gums xx

Hiya as @Cosmo already mentioned, switch to a soft brush, it will change your life :) my gums are a still a little swollen but the bleeding has reduced significantly
