Hi,

Just looking for some advice really, I’m 12+6 with my first baby and yesterday myself and my husband went around to our friends, after being there a couple of hours and fussing their dogs they told us that the dogs had just had their vaccines and kennel cough that day (they didn’t know I was pregnant at this point), after telling them they told us that I shouldn’t be around newly vaccinated dogs and now I’m worried, has anyone any advice or experience with this at all?

Thanks!

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I'm nearly positive avoiding newly vaccinated dogs while pregnant isn't a thing. Please don't worry.

You really don't need to be anxious!!!

First time I hear about this.

Hi OP, I work in a veterinary surgery and was pregnant with both of my children whilst working there. A vet is also currently pregnant. The only thing she cannot do in regards to vaccines is the kennel cough, as it's a "squirt up the nose" but she then goes straight in to see them afterwards. Don't worry yourself too much! :)

Hi Thanks so much to you all!

It was the kennel cough I was worried about especially as the only thing on google was to stay away from dogs for 6 weeks! Thanks so so much for the reassurance! Smile
