High Nuchal measurement

Had scan last week. Baby measuring 3.7mm Nuchal fold.

Cvs tomorrow.

If you have been through this what was the outcome for you and your baby?

You might be better posting this in the Antenatal tests section, OP. There will be lots of people going through the same thing there Flowers

@highhopess we had this earlier in the year. Nuchal measurement of 3.9. Had cvs and all was clear. We’ve also had a cardiac scan, which was also clear. 27 weeks now and, as far as we know, our baby is fine.
It’s so stressful and worrying. Try to remember that, with your measurement and no other markers, the statistics are more in favour of your baby being ok than not ok.
There is some great support on the antenatal tests board here,
Good luck, I hope you get some good news.
And don’t worry about the cvs. I was shitting myself, but it was fine. A little uncomfortable, but not too bad.

I had this with both my children. I can't remember the exact measurements but they were similar to yours.

All my tests and additional scans came back clear and I have a healthy 3.5 year old and 18 month old.

With my first I had a CVS at 13 weeks with the results coming back quickly. With my second I couldn't have a CVS due to my placentas position so had to wait until 16 weeks for an amniocentesis. As it was my second time going through it the wait wasn't too bad but if it had been my first it would have agonising.

Good luck for tomorrow. I hope you get good news

My measurement was 4.7mm based on age and blood we were given 1:84 chance. I had CVS and we found out everything was OK and I now have a beautiful 6 month old.

It's the most dreadful time... My heart goes out to you x

Sorry you're in this situation.

My daughter had a 5.something nuchal measurement plus additional fluid in lungs and stomach. Couldn't do cvs due to placental position, had to wait for an amnio which came back all clear. Healthy baby who is now crazy 3 year old Smile

Hope all goes well tomorrow x

Hi, yes my son’s NT was 3.5 and after all the blood tests our risk was 1 in 5. I was 34 at the time. Couldn’t have the CVS because my placenta was in the way so had to wait for an amnio. Came back all clear. He’s a healthy 4 year old sleeping peacefully in his Thomas bed 😊
I’m currently pregnant with DC2 and a midwife explained that an increased nuchal can be caused by many things including if Mum has recently been under the weather with a virus?
I was sending myself insane during the wait googling all kinds of things. Just remember that your baby needs you to be nice and relaxed and it is out of your hands xxxx Have everything crossed for you xxx
