Signs of miscarriage at 9 weeks

I’m 9 weeks pregnant exactly with my second baby. Last night when I went to the loo I had some brown and pink discharge. The brown was stringy and thick. Only a small amount but it has continued through the night and into today. I don’t have any other signs of miscarriage although I don’t seem to have my normal nausea this morning (unless it’s masked by my worry).

I went to the walk in centre this morning but there is nothing they can do until the early pregnancy unit opens tomorrow. As it happens, I have a private scan booked tomorrow morning, so I guess I will find out then if things are okay then but I just wondered if anyone had had any similar experiences and what the outcome was? I’m worrying myself silly and expecting the worst.

I did have an early scan at 6+3 when I was ill with a tummy bug and everything was okay and baby had a heartbeat.

I had loads of what you described from about 6-9 weeks, so much so that I assumed I had miscarried and began to try to move in. But about five weeks after that I discovered actually it wasn’t a Mc at all, I’m now 21 weeks. So try and relax, hopefully your scan tomorrow will bring good news z

Congratulations! Did you get any guidance on what might have caused it?
