hi all,

I had my 20 week scan yesterday and all looked great. I have however freaked myself out a bit today and it was after googling which I told myself I would stop doing. this morning I was quite constipated and when I went to the toilet I couldn't go for number 2 however I did go for a wee. this is gonna sound very strange but after I got up I thought I had wiped myself dry waited a few seconds then when I started wiping again there was loads more!? it stopped after that and I have been completely dry since then but I've somehow managed to convince myself it was fluid even tho it wasnt a gush or anything like that and was just on the toilet paper :/ is it normal for discharge to start getting more watery and was that even discharge or could I have not completely emptied my bladder? I dont really want to go to my midwife as I'm having a hard time even explaining it on here.

thanks in advance x

I dont really know, it was probs like clearish but also had a bit of white in it I couldn't really tell on the toilet paper but after when I check with my finger (sorry) it had a bit of white to it? I think I would be a lot more concerned if it had been like a pop then gush or a constant trickle but I've been completely dry since? I think I've read one too many horror stories online and have seen things like anything that is clear equals amniotic fluid ahh, the worries never stop! x

It's unlikely to be waters if it's stopped. But best to get these things checked. Ring maternity triage and pop a pad on.

I've woke up with a wet patch and it's just been clear non smelling fluid, I've always put it down to being discharge. I think waters would be more of a fish or a trickling sensation, or they'd keep tricking with lots and lots of fluid

thank you - to be honest it didnt actually 'come out' if you get me it was just I thought I'd wiped completely dry then when I want back and wiped again it was like loads of discharge but i guess that could of just been (sorry) wee I didnt manage to let go the first time or just general discharge as I've had nothing more. I had my scan only Wednesday and my fluid was noted as normal so I'm just gonna keep an eye on it x
