Scan Photo

Just been for my first scan today and paid for the scan photos and they’re on cheap bendy paper...is this right? My sister in law always ended up getting hers for free and they were on that paper but I assumed because they were free. I was expecting it to be on photo paper. Has this been the case for everyone that has paid?

What were you expecting? A glossy 5x7? It's a hospital not a photo shoot!

Yes they are all on that paper from what I know .

Bluemascara4 · 17/07/2019 22:24

Yes paid for it not ( I've had both ) they're on the same ' cheap bendy paper'

Congratulations on your pregnancy though x

They’re on that paper because that’s the type of paper the scanner printers use - so if your clinic prints your photos straight off the scanner they’ll be on that paper regardless of how much you pay

The hospital that I've had my children at sometimes you get them free sometimes I had to pay . It depended on two things for me one ... how rubbish the scan pics where (bad angle of baby etc ) they would give me them free and which sonographer you got (if you got a super nice one it would be free) but they where alwayson the same paper

Not only are hospital scan photos printed on that type of paper, so are the ones at private scan centres who charge up to £90 for scans!!
