I am going to be induced tomorrow. I have already got my hospital bag packed. However I just feel like I'm going to forget something!

I've never had to stay in hospital so I don't even know what it will be like. I'd really appreciate if you could help me with a list of what I might need or with things that you found useful having with you. I won't be going in till the end of the day so I will have time to pop to the shops if I do need to buy anything extra

Thank you Smile

*Lot's of snacks for both you and your birth partner.
*IPad or similar with box sets downloaded (took me days to finally give up & had a nice c-section).
*Headphones, hopefully you got noise cancelling one (It was not nice hearing other labouring women whilst waiting for my one to start).

  • Phone charger
  • A small towel (as they dry quicker) *Toothbrush & paste
  • A change of clothes *Hair brush
  • Blindfold as some lights are on *A dress or shirt that will give easy access for skin to skin with baby and for breastfeeding if you try it.
  • Big underwear in case of c-section

Baby needs clothes, nappy, wipes and anything else that pops up ask your birthing partner to get it.

Everything has been mentioned, big knickers for after and if you plan on feeding make sure you have a nighty/pjs that button all the way down. Wishing you all the luck OP, xxxx

Thank you all! This is really helpful.

There are definitely a few things mentioned that I haven't got so I'm going to write a list and pop to the shops tomorrow morning.

Excited now Grin get to meet my little girl soon!
