I had my period on the 4th June lasted 5 days, had sex 16th June ellaone on the 18th which delayed my ovulation , had sex with a different guy 19th-24th June, ovulation test positive 23rd june, 1 week later that usual and 1 week after first guy . negative pregnancy test on the 5th, positive on the 7th, clearblue digital said 1-2 weeks. due to the ellaone delaying my ovulation and sperm not living for 7 days guy 1 cant be the dad??

Id say could be either guy. I got neg pregnancy test then few days later pos and u cant go by a test for how many weeks u are.since it was days between sleeping with the 2 guys it could be either of them.

Please don't take offence as it just a question to help me understand the situation a little... how come you've been using ovulation tests, then having sex when you get a positive and not using contraception if not planning to get pregnant?

Maniak · 18/07/2019 03:59

No, because I think you get positive for ovulation if you're already pregnant? It can't distinguish? Also, ellaone is not entirely reliable (?) so it could be guy 1.

Cosmogirl86 · 18/07/2019 08:38

So if I'm understanding correctly, you had sex with first guy, ovulated 7 days exactly later, and had sex with second guy on and directly before ovulation day?

I would say there's a slightly higher possibility that its the second guy. However, sperm can linger around a week or so, so I wouldn't rule out the first guy if I'm being honest.

It's a difficult one. While my money is on second guy, I think in this case only a DNA test will tell.

Have you got support around you? I hope you are doing OK

Nobody can say for certain that it isn’t the first guy, sorry. You could have had a false positive on the ovulation test as PP said.

It’s more likely to be the second guy but the only way to be completely sure is a paternity test.
