Would I be unreasonable?

I’m 37+6 and have a section booked at 39 weeks if baby does not arrive by then. It’s ridiculously hot today and I’ve just had my second sweep and my cervix hasn’t changed in the last week. I really don’t want a section. I’m tired and over emotional. DH wants to go out with an old friend tonight who back in the UK. He comes back a couple of times a year but they don’t really speak in between. There is loads to do in the house and I have a busy day with the toddler tomorrow and on Thursday we are at the wedding of one of his friends. Would I be unreasonable to ask him to stay in tonight?

Lol laughing at the recommendation for sistema

I wouldn't be too annoyed, but I would be expecting him to go out for a hour or so. No drinking because you could go into labour at any time really. Do you need to go to this wedding? Ilunless it was a family member or a very close friend, I would also be sacking that off lol

Why did you have a sweep so early?!

hormonesorDHbeingadick · 16/07/2019 17:57

Because due to baby’s size I’m having a section at 39 weeks and I wanted to try encourage her out before then.

I really feel for you but I don't see how him not going out would change things for you. If a regular friend I'd think he could keep you company, as it's a rarity I think for a short while it's ok as long as not bladdered

I really feel for you but yes, you would be unreasonable to ask him not to see his friend especially given they’re visiting from abroad. I’d ask that he doesn’t come home ridiculously late, or completely hammered so he can help with house stuff before/after work tomorrow.

Thanks all. I knew I was being unreasonable. I want my house to be sorted, my husband to spend tonight with me and to go into labour tonight. A bird pooed on my sandwich yesterday so surely I’m due a bit of luck.
