I'm worried, midwife isn't

I'm 27 weeks after a rough ride (multiple losses/ectopic) so I am a little anxious. I was a prem baby (30 weeks) as was my sister and I had DD at 35 weeks. I've also had a previous lletz procedure and cone biopsies. I also had a terrifying SCH at 7 weeks. So far my 20 week scan showed my cervix length as being ok, no need for monitoring.

For the last 3 days I've been loosing really snotty gunky discharge, in blobs 50p size and (tmi sorry) again when I wee. I was ok with this...

This morning I've started leaking colostrum, I've currently got around 3mls I can freeze.

I phoned triage as my community midwife is off today and they aren't worried and said it's the non glamorous aspect of pregnancy...
But with sore boobs and backache I'm wondering if I should be worried?

The only other thing she did say was if I'm worried I can get the practice nurse to do a low vaginal swab for infection?

Am I overreacting to be worried?

Ring back and ask to go in for monitoring.

I was definitely producing colostrum and had sore boobs and back from 27 weeks and I’m now at 38 weeks and this baby is not showing any concrete signs of making a move anytime soon.

I don't think any of what you describe sounds terribly unusual.

I leaked heaps of collostrum in both if my previous pregnancies. In both cases I went overdue. I'm 29 weeks along with pregnancy no 3 and am leaking again.

My breasts have hurt for the entirety of this pregnancy too, it's just the changes they are going through and backache comes and goes.

It does sound pretty normal to me but as you are so worried perhaps it would be a good idea to go for the swab and put your mind at rest a bit? X

Thank you both of you for the reassurance

I'd second the advice given. It also is not recommended to pump/ harvest colostrum (leakage would be ok) until at least 36 weeks as nipple stimulation can cause contractions and is often cited as a good way to start labour...

They thought I was going into labour at 30 weeks, they can check as there is a hormone present from about 2weeks before...that baby releases - so they do a swab like test to check for that.

But as the other posters have said, I would'nt worry about what you've said below...neither sound like the start of labour. With discharge if the colour is unusual/green/ yellow (anything other then milky or clear) you should get that checked as likely to be an infection - also, if it smells strongly.
