Pre-eclampsia

Hi everyone,
I had my beautiful daughter on Thursday 11th July. Emergency C-Section again...
I was admitted with Pre-eclampsia on the Wednesday I have since been in hospital.
She was 5 pound 1 once, healthy baby born at 37 weeks. Eating fine.
Since then my blood pressure is one minute up the next normal but everything else is fine. I am shattered, only sleeping 2 hours a night, they are checking in on me nearly every hour!
Now I understand how serious it is... but 6 days I've been in, different blood pressure medication given, one given last night seems to be keeping it at a steady, and midwives have even admitted that I can't stay here and they need to set up a plan. Anyone been in this position before and can give some advice?
Anything would be helpful as I'm going out my mind 😔😔😔

I was stuck in for 9 days waiting for my BP to settle and get the right medication so huge sympathy. Can you get them to leave the cuff on so they can take BP without waking you? A private room might help too. If you do need to go home can you borrow a BP monitor? I found this really helpful as I had to taper off the medication and being able to check it regularly was very useful so that I could call the GP and get advice on which drug to reduce and by how much.

Oh,and if you're taking multiple medications see if they can work the timings so that you don't have to keep waking up all the time to take a different one!

I was induced with PE and stayed in 4 days afterwards as they needed 48 hours of a good BP, however I'm convinced it was anxiety as well as the PE affecting it as I hated being in there. Once I'd told myself I would be going home (even though there was no guarantee but I told myself I was) then I relaxed and my BP seemed to even out. Obviously you may not be the same, but the only advice I can give is to try and relax a bit, I know that's easier said than done in a maternity ward!!

I was induced for the same reasons and stuck in for days afterwards. There was no way my BP was going down, no sleep, hot noisy ward...in the end they moved me to a private room for a night or two and then I begged them to go home, telling them it was never going down while I was stuck in there! They let me go, packing me off with 6 weeks of medication.

Thank you everyone for your responses!
It's an awful thing to go through, I understand it's serious but they don't half mess around with medication 🙄🙄🙄
I have no child care for my son after 3pm today, told them and agreed to take the medication, attend appointments and she's going to work it out and get me home!
In all honesty, I was swollen with protein in my water 4 weeks before a was admitted... 🙄🙄🙄
