Health problems in pregnancy & work - what to do?

I'm 15 weeks pregnant. I'm a beauty therapist in a salon where there is quite a lot of massage. I only work part time but on the days I've been at work I usually do 3 hours of deep tissue massage a day. I'm finding that I'm very tired when I get home. This is my 4th baby but I'm 38 this time and I think physically I'm feeling it more than I did my other children.

On Thursday last week I got home and realised I'd had a bright red bleed which obviously was horrible. I went to emergency GP who booked me in for a scan in the gynae department. Luckily baby looks fine but my heart rate is faster than they would like (ditto oxygen absorption). The doctor I saw said that I shouldn't really be doing massage under the circumstances if it can be avoided.

At work I get requested for massages - do you think I should tell my boss I can't do any massages at all?

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Yes - if that's what's been recommended by the doctor.

Your oxygen levels were too high? 96-99% is considered normal... or do you mean your oxygen absorption was too low? Or are you talking about the foetus's?

You should do an updated risk assessment with your employer and any medically advised changes to your work should be put into place

No, sorry my oxygen absorption was slightly lower than they'd like and heart rate faster.
