I have had bleeding so been for an early scan - they are measuring me 5-6 weeks (my dates don't match) they found a gestational sac and yolk but no fetus so have to go back in 2 weeks for another scan Confused has anyone got any similar stories? Xx

Hi OP!
I had this with my DD, 3rd pregnancy 2 precious mc. I thought I was 6 weeks, had bleeding, went for a scan and they measured me only 4 weeks, sac and yolk, no baby, went back in 2 weeks. Baby and heartbeat. Now 3 years later I have a very sassy daughter lol!

How far do you think you are? Could it be possible that you ovulated later and actually aren't as far as you think you are?

I'm currently 15weeks, and was put back 4 weeks at my first scan! So fingers crossed it's a similar thing for you!

Good luck xx

Thank you for answering 😊 congratulations on your bubba 💖💙
By my calculations I was 10 weeks last Friday but measuring 5-6 weeks. The couple months before I had a positive test my periods were abit off compared to my usual smack bang 28 days.
I'm bleeding quite a lot but not enough to have anything on a pad - only on wiping (sorry for tmi).
I'm thinking the worse but I just want to know - horrible having to wait.
I'm getting dull aches but nothing major xx

It's so hard to say. I wouldn't want to give you false hope.

I'd 2 mc before dd and the 2nd had similar stuff going on but was also partly ectopic (twins) so more complex than most.

Then again dd I had bleeding throughout, which meant they kept a close eye on me. I was put on restricted activity essentially - no sex, no excitement, no running, jumping etc but she's a lump of 18 now

Hope for the best prepare for the worst?

I bled quite a bit at 5 to 6weeks and figured it was implantation. Could you have the dates wrong and it be the same thing?

MrsKBill · 14/07/2019 06:47

Only thing making me think I could was because the last couple months before my last period I was early etc and abit irregular with bleeding.
I'm not too sure what to think just have to hold tight until my next scan in 2 weeks xx

Hi

Hope for the best but prepare yourself as much as that is even possible. I had a similar set of circumstances 18 months ago it turned out to be a blighted ovum that never developed - discovered at 10 weeks.

I got pregnant again 5 months later and now have a pair of bouncing twin boys.

If it is the worst it'll hurt like hell, I was surprised how low it took me. But I found a pair of rainbows in the end.

Hope you get good news x

That's wonderful - twins 😍

I haven't had pains at all just about of period like aches (hard to explain).

I have everything crossed but have prepared for the worse 😞

I think myself lucky as I already have a gorgeous 2.5yr old 💙
