Before I call triage...

Hi, so I'm lying on the couch feeling sorry for myself. I will call the triage later on if the symptoms don't subside, but just looking for any info from you guys

Had a headache since last night. Been drinking water and taking paracetamol. Can't say it's getting rid of it completely.

I don't have the vision issues

Feet are swollen but only a normal swell, same with hands. When pressing skin, skin isn't indenting etc

Urine has always smelt a bit sickly strong, and I've noticed the last few days if I've not been for a wee in a while, as soon as I go to sit down (like my brain is telling my bladder it's ready to empty) I get pains either side at the back.

I told my midwife about this and she said my urine is perfect, not uti or concerns. My blood pressure was totally perfect and my bloods are fine.

I'm currently 38 weeks. This morning I had to run to the toilet for BM (sorry TMI) and I've been sleeping a lot more these days. It could be because I'm not getting a great sleep so when I wake up at 6am, I get breakfast and go back to bed. I then usually wake up about 11/11.30Confused

Go in to triage, preeclampsia can develop suddenly but ensure you’ve been drinking enough water.

HJWT · 12/07/2019 13:11

@Hellosunshine30 when did you see midwife and have bloods taken? Your body could just be getting ready to go into labour! The end of pregnancy is never great fun your body starts to do such strange things!

Ring triage for advice though x

Hellosunshine30 · 12/07/2019 13:14

I got bloods taken on Tuesday and urine was also tested on Tuesday which came back fine, no concerns. I was surprised with the urine to be honest, but she double checked it.

I was hooked up to the monitors in hospital last week for BP and again everything was fine. They said my BP was high but was probably due to being a very hot, uncomfortable day.

If it was a bit high Tuesday it's worth getting it checked again in case it's not gone back down or gotten higher.

HJWT · 12/07/2019 13:19

@Hellosunshine30 well ring triage and tell them this information! They will probably get you in anyway to be sure 😁

I had protein in my urine and severe head aches but blood and BP was fine! Headaches can come from hormones and not enough water! X

Just ring them now. They would rather see 100 patients who are perfectly fine than not see someone who is not.

Possibly your body getting ready for labour? Always better to go and get checked out... x

Hellosunshine30 · 12/07/2019 14:24

Hopefully body getting ready as I am totally ready for him/her to be here lol

I called triage. They told me that looking at previous notes it's nothing to worry about as I only saw midwife a couple of days ago. Told me I can take cocodamol and just to keep drinking water. The heat here can't be helping either. It's so warm and muggy. If nothing changes to call back.

@Hellosunshine30 I started like this with my DD I started being sick head aches, BM,
Very tired and was being induced anyway next day but I think if I hadn't of been induced I'd of gone Into labour anyway x

Fridaycantsleepdoh1 · 12/07/2019 20:40

How you doing Op?

Hellosunshine30 · 12/07/2019 21:26

Hi, I'm feeling OK. I would say I've drank a lot of water and taken paracetamol when I can. Seems to have eased a bit. Will see how I'm feeling tomorrow and through the night.
The weather has been pretty muggy and warm the last couple of days, so not sure if it could be due to this (?)

Pregnancy in this heat is terrible lol
X
