Hey guys!
At my 20'week scan my son was lying in an awkward position so they weren't able to get what they needed so I was sent back at 23 weeks nearly where the lady told me she believed his Trachea was in the middle of the V when it shouldn't be so I was referred to Fetal Medicine Department. Fast forward to today and I had my scan with them and they were right, his heart isn't how it should be :( she also checked for a cleft pallet but couldn't see his mouth properly as he was covering his face.
It was after the scan had finished she told me she checked for the lip because it can be a sign of DiGeorge Syndrome along with his heart issue which could cause problems throughout life. She did however say if it was just his heart that was their concern it's unlikely to be DiGeorge and he'll lead a fairly normal life but because she couldn't get it she's referred me to another hospital for more tests. They take place next Tuesday.
Does anyone have any experience with this whatsoever?
