Hello lovely ladies..

I unfortunately went through a miscarriage at the start of the year which was heartbreaking 💔

Yesterday morning I got my BFP!! I’m 4 weeks today.

I wanted to know if any of you have any success stories after your miscarriage as I feel this will keep me positive because at the moment I feel so on edge with this new pregnancy and I’m so scared it may happen again.

Thankyou 😊 xx

I had a MMC last August discovered at my 12 week scan. Had a d&c and gave myself a few months to get over it before trying again.

Got my BFP in April, am now 18 weeks with no problems and heard baby’s heartbeat on the doppler at my MW appointment this morning. I know it’s a long way to go yet, but it is a million miles away from how i felt at the end of last year.
Good luck!

I had my miscarriage last October, I’m now 26 weeks pregnant. I fell just 2 months after. Had a small bleed at 6 weeks in this pregnancy, but all’s been good since.

RobynC19 · 12/07/2019 06:22

I had a MMC and D&C the start of may I am now 6 w and 2 d I had some cramping so had an early scan were we saw a heartbeat going for a private scan in two weeks any way but fingers crossed for us all xx

VashtaNerada · 12/07/2019 06:26

I have 2 DC and had 2 MCs in between them.

BobTheFishermansWife · 12/07/2019 06:56

Bless you op, congratulations and everything is crossed for you here! And for the pps who are also carrying.

I had a miscarriage in September last year after a chemical pregnancy in July. We got our bfp in November and he arrived 9 days early on Tuesday xx

Sunshine1235 · 12/07/2019 07:08

I had a miscarriage before I had my first and now have two DC. I know it’s hard not to worry but most people who have miscarriages go on to have normal pregnancies

mommato3 · 12/07/2019 08:03

I'm currently almost 5 weeks pregnant after a mc in February so feel you anxiety. I had a mmc in 2000 and 6 weeks later feel on with my eldest - she's 18 now. Good luck and try not to worry too much. It's hard I know. I've just booked an early scan via groupon in order to try ease my anxiety. Not making any guarantees it will work but I think as long I know bran has a heartbeat I'll feel better. Hugs xx

Sparkle0109 · 12/07/2019 08:08

This post is so reassuring, great to hear so many success stories!
Congratulations on your pregnancy OP. I also experienced a MC in march this year and am now 9 weeks pregnant. Have you considered having an early scan for reassurance? I had one at 7 + 3 and saw a heartbeat which instantly made me relax... I am still very anxious now and have another scan booked for Wednesday when I'll be 9+6

We can do this together! We have to stay positive, I am wishing all the best for a healthy and happy pregnancy 💕

Lea89 · 12/07/2019 08:30

@Sparkle0109 Hello! Congratulations to you too 🎉 I do have a scan booked for 7+4 at my EPU. I was going to ask if I can have another at 10 weeks but I don’t think they will do it. So I may book a private one as @mommato3 mentioned - congratulations to you too hun 🎉

These success stories are so warming to hear, Thankyou to you all.

Let’s hope we hear some more! Xx

Congratulations op, a pregnancy after miscarriage is always particularly scary. I had a miscarriage between my children found at scan. I was pregnancy again a couple of months later and medically it was a dream pregnancy obviously just very worrying. I did pay for a private scan at around 8weeks which I found reassuring.

firstimemamma · 12/07/2019 08:43

No personal experience but my friend was in your shoes and suffered a miscarriage. Got pregnant again and was nervous about having another miscarriage. She is about 15 weeks now and things are looking much more positive. I hope hearing this has helped and that everything works out for you Thanks

sadtoday21 · 12/07/2019 09:16

Hi @Lea89 I'm also 4 weeks, 6 days after suffering an MMC in February (partial molar pregnancy at 12 weeks, d&c) and a cp the month after that. I am terrified!! I don't have any advice, I just wanted to say I also have no idea how to manage the anxiety. Have a scan booked for 7 weeks, but even the idea of a scan makes me feel incredibly nervous (since I found out at the last one). I'm just trying to take one day at a time and to meditate when the stress is overwhelming. Trying to focus on other things and keep busy (way easier said than done!). I've also kept it to myself so far. Hope you can find some peace in these difficult days Xxx.

My first pregnancy ended in miscarriage at 20 weeks, then I had DD1 followed by DD2. My fourth pregnancy also ended in miscarriage at 16 weeks but within a few weeks I was pregnant with DS.

Good luck, pregnancy is stressful after miscarriage but there are many successes!

HayleyHaystack · 12/07/2019 10:46

Happy to share my success story!

Miscarried at 9 weeks last Spring with first baby. It was a devastating time for my husband and I. We followed advice - booked a fab holiday, focused on house projects, and didn’t start trying until 3 months after. Found out I was pregnant in the autumn, and I’m currently overdue awaiting his/her arrival. Star

The first 20 weeks were tough. I did a private scan at 7 weeks, and ended up in EPU at 9 weeks with food poisoning so they scanned me again to confirm yep still ok in there! It made the 12 week scan less terrifying.

Good luck. You’ll get there! Flowers

Jojo101215 · 12/07/2019 10:55

I had a MMC last June & currently 29 weeks, try to remain positive but I understand it's completely easier said than done as I don't think I will fully relax until she is in my arms!! Congratulations

Pinktinker · 12/07/2019 11:27

I had two missed miscarriages in 2017. I had literally no symptoms I’d miscarried whatsoever, just found out at the 12 week scans. Even had two early scans during the second pregnancy and saw the heartbeat but nope, still miscarried Sad. Horrible.

Thankfully was third time lucky for me and now have a lovely squishy 8 month old!

Lea89 · 12/07/2019 11:32

@pinktinker - this is what I’m scared of. I feel i’ll be that unlucky person to have two in a row x

Hello 👋

Firstly, congratulations. Hope you’re feeling ok.

I miscarried last June at about 8 weeks. I completely empathise with you, it’s an awful experience and one you don’t want to have to go through again. Statistically it’s far less likely to happen again, if that gives you any reassurance.

We conceived in October last year and I’m due on 6th August. Baby is healthy (and huge apparently!).

I was really worried after I conceived that I’d lose the baby again. But I just focused on the every day and soon enough 12 weeks had been and gone and as I’m sure you’re aware the risk is significantly lower after that date.

Good luck with everything, try not to worry! X

mrsk28 · 12/07/2019 11:52

I had a miscarriage at 7 weeks and spent the first 12 weeks of my next pregnancy worrying. I had a scan at 11+6 privately and probably should have done it around 8 weeks for the reassurance it gave.

Currently sitting here with my 13 weeks old baby boy so all went well 💙

Best of luck with your pregnancy and try enjoy it as much as possible, it's a wonderful time x

Nikhedonia · 12/07/2019 17:47

Thanks congratulations OP.

My rainbow baby is 4 years old now!

Had a pretty horrific miscarriage and went through counselling.

The pregnancy was pretty scary, I didn't believe it was actually happening until I started to get a bump.

Ozziewozzie · 12/07/2019 17:52

Congratulations
I had a miscarriage with my 5th pregnancy. It was awful. But a few months later I fell pregnant again and my daughter is asleep beside me, 16 months old. I know the worry feeling you’re having but it will soon pass once you get to the waddling, wind, wee, stage!

Colyflower · 13/07/2019 20:48

I had two miscarriages, first one in 2015 and latest one in Aug last year. We’d been through 6 years of infertility and ivf, I was so low and was so very close to giving up but with what little strength I had we went for another embryo transfer in March this year and I’m currently 20 weeks pregnant with our miracle rainbow baby boy!

We consider ourselves very lucky though but it has been a nerve wracking journey, I was so anxious and paranoid that I’d had 4 scans before my 12 week scan, in total so far inc my 20 week scan I’ve had 6 scans.

Only now am I beginning to relax and enjoy my pregnancy. I’ve started to buy some stuff to make the most of the summer sales although even now it feels too early, there’s obviously still some nerves there. On my other forum in November babies I’ve got people who have finished decorating their nurseries!! For those of us who have suffered miscarriage it’s always going to be a more nervous journey and each mile stone more triumphant and special but I don’t think I’ll truly relax until bub is in my arms and is healthy.

Roll on the next milestone of 24 weeks!

olderthanilookapparently · 13/07/2019 21:16

I had a MC at 9 weeks, had a D&C and fell pregnant 2 months later. My DS was born right roughly 1 year after I fell pregnant the first time.

He's 12 now and almost as big as me. His little brother is 9 and I had him a few weeks after my 40th birthday. All will be well xx

Keyboard91 · 14/07/2019 12:53

I had a MC in January - got a BFP this morning at 3w3days (tested very early...)

I’m excited but also really nervous - cried when I saw the line as didn’t know whether I was mire happy or more nervous. Xx

smartcarnotsosmartdriver · 14/07/2019 13:00

I had a MC at about 6/7 weeks. I'm currently 20 weeks with my second pregnancy and so far so good. It does add an extra level of worry but I'm hopeful that everything will be fine.
