40+3 first sweep anxious to get things going!

Hey I'm a first time mummy and am 40+3 weeks pregnant! I had a sweep this morning and have been told that I am 1-2cm dilated and fully effaced!! Midwife could feel my baby's head and my waters bulging. I have been having contractions on and off but not regular and I have lost my mucus plug. I was wondering if anyone had been in a similar situation and how long it took for labour to officially start, I know every pregnancy is different but just looking to get other people's experiences. Thank you

This is my situ basically but I’m 41+1. Sweep was Saturday. I’ve been on and off since. Frustrating to say the least. Lost mucus plug on Sunday. I’ve got another sweep this Saturday 🤞🏼 First baby so nothing to compare too!

I know what you mean I've been having contractions since yesterday evening but they just aren't getting any closer together at the moment, very frustrating! It's so difficult when you have nothing to compare it to, good luck and fingers crossed for your next sweep 🤞🏼🤞🏼 [santa]

My first took a week of that, sorry. But it was very quick once it got going.
I was so desperate for labour to start and tried everything to encourage it to get going. This time I'll arrange a massage, go for a swim and sleep instead!
