Convinced I’m going to lose baby

I have just discovered I am pregnant with DC2 today so I’m exactly 4 weeks.

I feel different to how I was with DD (only had her 4 month ago, whoops) and the pregnancy test lines I had this time were much weaker than I had with her.

I am convinced that the pregnancy isn’t viable. I think once I get past 5 weeks I’ll be ok?

I just hate this part of pregnancy. It’s going to be a really long 8 weeks!

Aaw it is a horrible wait. Best wishes to you.

Congratulations on your pregnancy. I don't have much advice but my test lines were faint and then got darker as the weeks went on (I had a couple of bleeds and had to test before I went to the EPAU).

I know these weeks are long and hard going but I think you need to take each day as it comes and keep busy with life and your beautiful baby girl.

Thanks both!

DD is a good distraction and I’m trying to make her my focus rather than this pregnancy but it’s so hard! I want her to have a brother or sister so bad :( it also means that I’ll be done having them should this pregnancy go to plan!

Don’t forget, your body will still be adjusting to having your daughter! They say it takes up to two years for a women’s body to fully recover from pregnancy & labour! Your hormones won’t have settled down fully from only 4 months ago.. so it’s probably quite likely you’ll feel different!

Also, every pregnancy is different. I’ve also just found out I’m pregnant with my second, my little girl is two. I’m getting some of the same symptoms but not all. I wrote them down handily! My boobs were agony last time from day dot, they don’t hurt at all so far.. I didn’t get any stomach cramps last time, loadss so far this time!

Stay positive, I always think there’s nothing you can do, you’ve conceived & now you just have to hope all goes well. Of course a loss would be devastating & something you would work out how to deal with at the time .. but ultimately out of your hands. Your baby is only 4 months, it’s very little Smile , plenty of time to keep the gap small if that’s what you want Smile
