Anyone good at the nub theory?

12 week scan today I’m DESPERATE to know but DH really wants a surprise this time so that’s what we are doing! Any ideas though based on the scan...? Counting on you mumsnetters!

What’s your actual gestation? I’d say 12+4 or less is a boy, anything over a girl

Who says you have to? I have 4 children and knew the sex each time, I just didn’t tell my husband as he wanted to wait

@LookAtThatRedSheep did you just find out at the 20 week scan? I think DH really wants us both to wait and I do think it would be lovely just so impatient!

According to the nub theory mines appears to be a boy. My gender scan revealed it's a girl!

Yes at the 20 week one! I managed to keep it a secret each time, dh said I gave him no clue! We still talked about names for both sexes, we buy neutral clothes anyway (in fact 6 week old dd is wearing one of ds1s old rompers today) the way I figured was that it’s my body and if I wanted to know then I should be able to without asking his permission, but at the same time I respected his want to wait it out and it was surprisingly easy. Just used he/she him/her interchangeably when referring to the babies to keep him off the scent.
He only guessed 1 out of 4 that was Ds2 and funnily enough it was the 12 week scan picture where he thought the nub was a penis and he was right!
