Lines never sex theory

I’ve just heard an old wives tale that a clear linea negra means you’re having a boy, and no linea negra means you’re having a girl.

In my first pregnancy I had a very visible linea negra, and I had a boy. This time around I can barely see the linea negra, and we haven’t found out what we are having.

What are your experiences?

I've never had it and I've had both boys and girls!

My best friends, both of them, claim the opposite is true, that a linea negra denotes a girl. They’ve had that experience, ie no line for their boys, and prominent lines for girls.

My mother hasn’t had any line and had five kids.

I’m pregnant with (probably-judging by scan, but unconfirmed) a boy, I have a line.

So I guess it is a) very definitely an Old Wives Tale, and b) very person dependent.

I'm pregnant with a boy and I have no line whatsoever. I'm only 26 weeks though, what stage do they normally develop?

I have 2 girls and didn't even get a hint of a line

I have 3 boys...and a girl on the way...ive never had a line 🤷‍♀️

Never had one, had a boy and now having a girl. SiL had a line and had a boy.

I had a girl & had one! In fact, you can still see it faintly two years later!

Some women only get a line up to the belly button, other get it all the way up the belly, others don't get it at all.
I didn't have one with my DS but have it just up to my belly button this time with B/G twins

I have a line from my pubic bone to just under my belly button. I’m having a girl. I really hope the line doesn’t get any higher ! I wouldn’t mind but it’s not even straight 😂 if it carries on it’s going to bypass my belly button on a wonk. How attractive.

I've never had one and I have a girl, a boy and am currently pregnant with another boy.

I had a line both times and had one of each! I don't think there's anything to it really.
