6 week bloat / bump pics?

Has anyone got any pics of how they looked at around 6 weeks? I can share mine if anyone has much knowledge on this or experience in the past, just let me know in the thread!

I'm of slim build, but feel like this bloating is quite severe. I read it is normal to bloat at this stage, but I thought it would disappear each morning by a bit like normal bloating does, but it's not. My close friend who knows (as I haven't told anyone else yet, waiting for the 12 week scan) reckons it looks more like a real bump... I've read that a bump this early sometimes means twins, and twins run in the family.

At 6 weeks the baby is about the size of a lentil so even if there are two in there they still wouldn't be making a bump yet. Of course your uterus will be beginning to expand but even with twins it would still be below the public bone. Is there a chance you could be further along? If not then it is almost certainly just bloating - pregnancy does weird things to the digestive system!

@MrFlibblesEyes - I hear what your saying and agree, but I have read a lot of people who swear by the fact that they were showing or think that they were showing at 6 weeks so just thought I'd put it out there.

Well, I have considered that. My last period started on 4th June, but it was a very light period, I'm wondering if it maybe wasn't even a period - I have extremely light periods, to the point I don't actually have to wear tampons or pads etc, a tiny pant liner does me. The doctors were testing me for ovulation over 4 months due to this and they thought things weren't working normal. So essentially I'm either 6 weeks or 9 weeks from looking back at my period dates. I'll upload the photo in my next comment.

I was showing by 8 weeks, only a tiny bump but was still showing. Never went down, I'm now 16 weeks & have a sizeable bump! It's my 4th pregnancy though & I'm slim build so think that has something to do with it

Left photo was late yesterday evening and photo on right was first thing this morning. I just figured bloating would maybe go down a bit in the morning - this is my first pregnancy so I'm probably just being clueless!

@starflake - yeah, i wear a lot of skirts and high waisted trousers to work, everyone in the office is always commenting about how slim i am and how i manage to control my diet etc etc, they eat a lot of Greggs and Mcdonalds where I work lol. But feeling how I do, I've had to start wearing baggy tops and different trousers, definitely no high waisted skirts. As I feel people will just look and wonder whats going on... it looks small in the photos I uploaded, but when your used to having a flat stomach, I feel a big difference!

Awww a nice little bump u have, mine was similar, had to stop wearing my jeans by 8 weeks as when I was sitting I needed to open the buttons! Now at 16 weeks none of my clothes fit, bar leggings & baggy tops I have, plus 2 summer dresses!

nicannie · 11/07/2019 09:25

Do you reckon it will go down again?? I was a big baby, 9lbs 5 when born. My partner was 8lbs 1. So I know this bump is bound to get big by the end anyways!!

I feel already my jeans are uncomfy, those are size 8, and I'm just getting away with them when sitting around etc.

Yeah I think it's definitely possible to show really early. Like starflake I couldn't do my jeans up by 8 weeks.

For me I think I've showed early because I've got a really short torso and also am "skinny fat" so I look skinny but I've got a fair bit of fat in my abdomen that has been pushed out by (I guess) my uterus.

nicannie · 11/07/2019 09:37

Yeah, I'm worried by week 8 I won't be able to get my jeans up either! I feel quite similar to you, I'm only around 5ft 3, my weight has only inflated by like 1 pound so it's not that I'm over eating either
