So...
I am being induced at 40 wks bc I have been in 3 times with reduced fetal movement. I went in again today with RFM as they had said to do it it continued.

A consultant then said they don't like to bring induction forward to 39 weeks bc labour can be more difficult. I don't know why she even said it bc I never mentioned nor asked for it to be brought forward. She then asked if I wanted to stay in hospital until 40 wks induction (so confused?! That would be 15 days in hospital. How much would that even cost the NHS?!) I said no. THEN she said okay come in for a scan on Monday and we will do a sweep. This will be 10 days before I’m being induced.

I’m an idiot be I was on my own and never ask questions. I just sit there and listen and then leave like 'what just happened?!'

I just had a sweep today at 38+4 due to slowed growth and high blood pressure. I'm booked in to be induced on sunday at 39 weeks.

I felt the same, like it was more like I was being told what was happening rather than being asked? if that makes sense. The sweep wasnt that bad if it helps, I just felt a bit shocked as I've never had an internal exam before

Yes - I think they forget that we are all a bit clueless so go with what they say. Good luck to you Smile
