Hi all,

I am 38 + 3 today and have been sick once this pregnancy, however, I just went to lay down and had the sudden urge to throw up. I have now just been violently sick three times!!

Is this normal, is it a sign of upcoming labour or is it something I should be worried about? This is my first pregnancy.

ThanksSmile

I think this could be a sign of labour! Good luck!

I started vomiting yesterday at 38+2, and have been having what I think are contractions all day... I got checked out at the day assessment unit yesterday and they said it may be early labour and friends I'm speaking to have said it sounds promising, first time mum here too so feeling a bit terrified!

Can be a sign of pre eclampsia... Although unlikely without other signs, so labour might be more likely.

@noimaginationatall thank you 😃 I hope so!

@Justincase87 how are you feeling today? I've been sick but nothing else although I'm exhausted right now and in bed- have you had any other symptoms?

@HiJuice thanks for replying! Nope, no other signs of preeclampsia!

I hope it's the beginning of labour- I am getting a bit fed up now!

I was having some kind of contractions all night and all morning but erratic - had some pink discharge this morning but now everything has stopped so think it was a false alarm, I have my midwife appointment soon so hoping she will have a look and see if anything is going on, feel like I'm going to be pregnant forever right now!

I wasn't sick through out my whole pregnancy. When I was in the start of labour and established labour I was sick all over myself 😂
