@slipperywhensparticus I really hope something starts happening. It's been 3 hours and nothing so far. I really don't want to be induced Confused

I had a sweep on Saturday and it was apparently successful in that it took me to 1cm (first baby so untried cervix etc). Still very much pregnant and exactly 1 week overdue so will be following this thread to see if a second sweep sounds a good idea...

I had a sweep at 39 weeks (was going to be induced the following day due to reduced movement). The sweep took place around 6pm ish, went into labour at 10pm ish and he was born at twenty past midnight! So a big success story for me as I avoided the induction and had a quick birth.

mistermagpie · 10/07/2019 14:33

It was my second baby though, so might have been effective due to that.

@HayleyHaystack any news? I only had my sweep yesterday, but no movement so far. Have you decided whether to go for the second sweep? (If baby hasn't arrived)

@dancingelephants still very much pregnant - second sweep booked for Saturday. Induction booked for Monday! Will I beat it?! I can only hope!
