It's 14 years since I had a baby so my memory is a bit out but I remember the show being just prior to birth?
DD21 who is 34 weeks today just text me "sorry for tmi but a small mucus thing has just come out" ... I've told her to call her midwife obviously, but as I can't remember, is a bit of mucus in late pregnancy normal? It's the first bit she's had... I

I only had my second 2.5y ago and I’m struggling to remember. I’m 38+4 now and not had my mucus plug yet. With my daughter.. think it was a few days before my waters broke at 39 ish weeks.

I have heard that you can loose a big of your plug later on in pregnancy, and doesn’t always mean labour is imminent.. however at 34 weeks I would definitely ask the midwife. X

I lost mine at 33+3 and then waters broke at 38+5. The midwife told me it can happen weeks before baby is coming and also can grow back so you can actually lose it more than once!

Hope all goes well and congratulations to both you and DD! x

Yes. With dc1 mine came out at about 30 weeks and then again at about 41

Mine didn't appear until I was in labour.

When I was in hospital, and looked like a piece of bloody liver, not what I was expecting at all! Had to get a midwife to look at it, I thought something important had fallen out of me Grin

Sounds like part of her plug, it's normally to lose some throughout pregnancy as it regenerates. It's not a sign of a labour.

If it's blood tinged then it can be a show which is a sign that labour will be along shortly

Thanks!! Midwife wasn't concerned unless any other signs, but there's nothing so probably just a bit of it.. Christ this is exciting, first grandchild!!
