Braxton hicks at 26 weeks

Doubled over in pain for a few hours today coupled with crippling back pain. First time I’ve experienced this. Should I call the midwife or is this normal?

I'd call the midwife and ask for some advice.

Braxton hicks aren't usually painful like that, just feel more tight. Give the midwife a ring xx

I’ve been told BH shouldn’t be painful just tightening across the abdomen. I’d definitely get checked out
