Nub/ skull theory

I had never heard of the nub/ skull theory until I joined MN and have been fascinated by the various prediction posts.
So just for fun I thought I would put up the pictures from both my 12 week and 20 to see what you guys predict. I had a go myself but was pretty useless.
I am currently 22 weeks and have been told what sex they think the baby looks like (I'm debating whether to get a private scan done to confirm this but that story is for another thread).

Here goes, let me have your thoughts?

That's interesting because I could only go off the skull theory, I couldn't find a nub 🙈. Anyway my prediction based on that was also boy.

Can I ask why you also think boy? X

This was my DS scan confirmed boy with 3D scan at 15 weeks and again at 20 weeks x

Can I join in? These theories really confuse me and I can't figure it out.

Girls usually tend to have bubble heads- very rounded from back to front. Boys are usually flatter.

Boys generally tend to have straight slopes down from forehead to nose. Girls usually tend to be rounder.

Not always the case but I definitely thought boy soon as I opened the thread.

Ah right sorry! Apparently baby is a girl.

This was DS scan at 15 weeks! I didn't get to see at 20 weeks because they didn't show me! A girl looks more like a burger x

I'm really contemplating getting a private scan done because I was in there nearly an hour due to baby being face down with her chin tucked in and her hands up to her face and would not budge.

Eventually after another sonographer came in they got all the details they needed. So I asked if they could get a look at baby's gender. She quickly in a split second had a look I didn't even have a chance to look at the screen before saying 'it looks like it could be a girl'.

Now I know that to cover themselves they do not confirm the sex nor is this the important part of the scan however i would of thought she would of let me look at the screen myself for a moment. Is this normal practice?

In my experience they would usually show you what they are looking at to make that determination.
I would assume to cover themselves so they've have shown you why they think that, just in case it turns out to be wrong.
I've had 3 scans previously and they've all been the same so far.

@Preggers86 depends on the person! If its an NHS scan they 99% of the time won't show you because they technically aren't allowed to say either way thats why they say 'looks like' even with me I said iv had a 3D scan and its a boy and she said yeah still looks like a boy!

Looking at your pic again the skull does look rounded so girl is more than likely right, like I said in my original comment though its not very clear!

Why don't you book a 3D scan for 28 weeks! at least you will get to see baby's face to 😁

I'm watching this thread because I've only just learnt what Nub theory is! We had our dating scan, they put us at 12 and 5 so we can get excited now! I think going from Nub Theory it's a girl, but we'll have to wait and see, either is fine!

I sent my 12 week scan photo to The Nubtechs and they said 85% boy. I've got my 20 week scan next monday so I'm hoping to find out then!

This is what I got back

I emailed a group called nub experts- not finding out what I’m having but love guessing anyway. Sent off two separate scan pictures and one came back girl and one came back as boy because they both look completely different (I assume the angle the scan pics were captured).
I suppose in a way I’m glad as I’ve chosen not to find out but sort of want some hint 😂
