Nervous about telling work?

I know this sounds ridiculous but I’m so scared about telling work I’m pregnant!

I’m only 6 weeks and couldn’t be happier that I’m pregnant however will have to tell work quite early as my job is very active and I work up to 12 hour shifts, I’m also a manager there and am struggling with the sickness and long hours already. I feel like everyone will think of me as a massive burden when I tell them!

Anyone else feel like this before they told their work?

Hiya.
I was really scared about telling work because I was the only one with a certain skill set there.

It was fine. They weren't overly happy. Its life and they have to get over it.
Make sure you get a risk assessment done.
Good luck and congratulations!

I started a new job at 10 weeks but didn't intend to tell them until I legally had to in case they invented a reason to sack me at my review, however I had had a few sick days, because of the pregnancy, and then had a day off as I was in hospital with abdominal pains (turned out to be nothing). I decided I had to tell them because I'd had 3 days off in a month. They were amazing. They said they were disappointed, not that I was pregnant but that I'd be leaving the business for mat leave. They're really happy with my work so have been so so accommodating, it's been better than I could have asked for!

I know it's scary, but it probably will be a lot better than you imagine!
