Had this last night lillibet as DS was in right position and has now turned breech - DP in his wisdom and after reading all the books he can on the subject said DS may have turned by now but can happen anytime up until the birth although they likely turn near to 36 weeks!! (apparnelty from Mrs Stoppard Book!!)

Well, I was told this as well, and lo and behold baby is now transverse. So it turned but not enough . I would bug midwife a lot at each check-up to check position etc - I think they are fortnightly from now on?

My 2nd child was transverse for ages, then I discovered at my 36th week scan (checking position of placenta as it was low-lying) that infact he had turned into breech position.

I had another scan at 38 weeks (still breech) then final one at 39 weeks and he was head-down so I wouldnt necessarily panic just yet.

Slinky that is good to hear - did you do anything in particular? I am going to see consultant on Monday - but was just spooked by being told not to eat or drink anything if I thought labour was starting and to come straight to hospital!
