22+3 Abnormal 3VT view

Hi All

I had my repeat 20 week scan today as last time my little boy wasn't in the right position to get majority of what they needed to.

The lady scanned me today and took probably 30 minutes or so checking his heart and vessels as they do and this particular thing she really couldn't get, she said she can't be 100% sure but it looks like his trachea is in the middle of what is supposed to be the V shape. It could be down to his position (he's stubborn like his sister) or my belly button shadow. She's forwarded me to the Fetal Medicine department to see a doctor just to double check things and find out what's going on next week sometime.

Has anyone else ever heard of this? Or have any experience on this?

I have sent you a pm ( I hope I’m a bit clueless at this) but the exact same thing happened to me with the 3VT view. There was a problem but she is now a very healthy happy 9 month old so try not to worry. Fetal medicine and fetal cardiology were amazing! I was signed off before she was born and had a natural delivery with excellent paediatric follow up afterwards . If I can help at al do let me know
