Pelvic pressure 16 weeks pregnant

Currently 16 weeks with DC 2. I remember feeling pressure in pelvic/vagina area with my last pregnancy but it like literally in the last few weeks. I've already started to experience it at 16 weeks and I'm abit worried. Dr Google hasn't helped as it's come up with weak cervix which could cause premature labour.
My next appointment with the midwife isn't for afew weeks. Do you think it warrants a call to the community midwife? Or anyone with a similar experience? TIA

I think any worries you have should be discussed with you midwife, no matter how minor. You know your own body and if you're worried, it definitely validates a reassurance phone call. It's probably nothing, but the small chance something is wrong, wouldn't you be glad you asked about it?

I had SPD all the way through my 2nd pregnancy, could it be that?

Feel better OP Thanks

Thank you @FyEnwiYwLucy your right definitely no harm in just speaking to a midwife. Will ring them tomorrow morning.
Not sure if it's SPD I don't seem to have all the other symptoms listed.

I agree with pp - if u are worried then call-that is what they are there for and they really really wont mind.

I felt similar to u. I had pressure and swelling down there in 1st pregnancy near the end, but now in my 2nd pregnancy have had it a lot earlier. Cant remember the exact week but definitely pre 20 weeks.

I have mentioned this a couple of times to midwife and she has assured me it is nothing to worry about and all scans have been fine. I do feel like my pelvic floor is a lot weaker this time round- I didnt do nearly enough pf exercises last time Blush so it might be that everything is a lot less toned this time round! I am 32 weeks now and funnily enough I dont feel as much pressure and swelling as I did earlier on.

Pregnancy does such weird and wonderful things to us lol.

I am sure all is fine, but give them a call this morning.x

Hi

I had this quite early too... and weirdly, I am now in my 27th week, and its got better, but I still get it sometimes.

I also have vulvar varicosities (varicose veins in vulva) and i also get pressure when I have bowel movements, so I am presuming that my pelvic floor is very weak. I also think baby is hanging around very low, which doesn't help.

Do speak to your midwife, its good to chat and also get it on the record, just incase you experience other things in the future.
