Scan at 7 weeks

Anyone had a tummy ultrasound (not internal) scan at 7 weeks and what did you see?

I had one at 7+1. I could see a wee grey blob with a flickering heart beat. You won't see much else. Hope the scan goes really well.

I had one at 7+1 saw heartbeat, ive put a photo up of that scan,im now 22wks x

Oh wow thank you both. Glad you both say you saw the heartbeat at 7 weeks.

8w+3 attached, in an EPU and she said their machines are not anywhere near as detailed as the regular scanning dept. literally just there to say if there any matter/baby/yolksac etc there and enough to see a heartbeat. She wasn’t sure if an external would show but it did. I was bleeding; he’s now 5 months old

7+3, saw twins through my fat stomach!

A little white pulsating bean that eventually turned into the 3 month old I'm trying to rock to sleep. It was the most beautiful of all the scans I had. IVF had worked. 7 weeks was early but it showed we could do it and there was something to hold onto.

7 weeks exactly and saw heartbeat

Pretty much the same as everyone else. A tiny blob with a heartbeat.

Another one that had one at 7+1. Sonographer found it straight away, no searching and a strong heartbeat flickering away. She pointed out which end was the head

This was the image from my abdominal uss at 6+6. We also got to hear heartbeats during the scan which was very special.

Thank you all for your replies. I'll be nearly 7+6 so closer to 8 weeks really. Even more excited now. I was just dreading them saying baby is there BUT it's to soon to see a heartbeat.

I'm having one in a couple of weeks and I'll be 6 + 5 , hoping to see a little something 😁

Should have said mine was an internal scan. They are more accurate at that stage

@user1199 This was mine from 7+5 so yours should look very similar :) Congratulations! I'm now 10 weeks and eager to see how baby has changed! My dating scan isn't until 25th tho!!

Are you against an internal? As if they can’t see what they need to via abdominal they’ll just do an internal instead which is far clearer. I chose at my seven week scan to go straight for an internal and skip the abdominal!

I saw what looked like a small fuzzy line with arm and leg buds, like a little teddy bear, with a beautiful flickering light in the middle flashing away. It was beautiful. Couldn’t believe the little smudge was only the size of a raspberry but had a little heartbeat already!
