Breech at nearly 36 weeks and various options

Hi all. I've just had a presentation scan at 35+5 weeks and baby is complete breech. I have mixed feelings on this as it's still moving around a lot and bump feels different at various points in the day iyswim. The consultant said it may still turn.

Anyway, I have been offered various options, I can have an ECV in two weeks. My hospital offers an injection of muscle relaxant, I've heard they can be unpleasant and only have a 50/50 success rate anyway. I'm game to give it a go if there's a chance of avoiding s c-section. If it doesn't work then I have the option of a c-section or going for a vaginal birth anyway (which surprised me as I thought it wasn't an option).

I would be interested to hear people's views and experiences of ECVs and anyone who's delivered a breech baby vaginally. Also any ladies who experienced the baby turning after 36 weeks, thanks.

No advice about labour but have you looked at the spinning babies website? Go swimming lots and hang out on all fours.

Haven't needed to worry about this as both head down, but if it was breech my plan was to attempt ECV and if it failed to have an elective section. Didnt fancy the increased risks of vaginal breech delivery. Think the chance of turning spontaneously after 36w is fairly low but worth a try with some of the things you can do linked by PP.
