Anyone else got this? I’ve just started feeling better from the sickness at 12 weeks and now I have horrible gas/painful bloating most nights.
It’s so uncomfortable and makes me look about six months pregnant!
It’s driving me mad :(

I had this for a while but only for a few weeks. Are you managing to eat well? If so, maybe try eating smaller meals, more frequently.

I saw these probiotics recommended a few months ago on here and have been taking them ever since. I'm currently 35 weeks and have found they help with bloating, gas and constipation. They're from Holland and Barrett and not cheap, but even if I forget to take them for a day I feel a difference.

I used to get this and I found a cup of peppermint tea used to ease it.

Silly question perhaps but have you tried to increase your fibre? I’m noticing a difference with having at least porridge in the morning even though I have to agree it’s not the weather or heat for it.

@Itsme26
I have this cold porridge in the summer, its really tasty. We substitute the chia seeds with flax seeds and also change the fruit around. Its nice with any type of berry or grape. We also have it with pears and raisons too. Great start to the day.

Thank you for the suggestions!
I hadn’t thought of probiotics - so many things
You can’t take during pregnancy I’m really wary.
I am managing to eat as the sickness has eased off but I will try smaller meals and see if that helps.
Porridge is a good shout too - I used to really like it until the sickness kicked in and all I wanted to eat was bread. Luckily that’s worn off a bit now!

I had your exact symptoms, sounds a bit like ibs. Can you take duloclax? Or cut out gluten? That's the 2 things that helped me out. I had it for years!

NicciLovesSundays · 03/07/2019 10:13

I had IBS too but was much better when I cut out meat and milk. I still eat dairy but use oat, almond or coconut milk. Have to be careful though if you are cutting things out and make sure you are eating well.

Bellasblankexpression · 03/07/2019 16:20

I don’t think it’s IBS because it’s only while
I’m pregnant and only started this week - I never have a problem usually.
