4 weeks pregnant and cramping

Hey guys. I'm 4 weeks pregnant and have just started to have minor mild cramps in lower abdomen. I have had two miscarriages in the last year. The first started with severe cramps and two weeks later bleeding. The other was bleeding then the cramps.
I'm hoping this is just round ligament pain.
I know that we can't stop anything from happening. If it's not going to happen it's not going to happen. But just wanted to see if anyone at the moment or in the past had these type cramps at 4 weeks and everything was ok?
Thank you xx

I had loads of cramps between about weeks 4 - 6. Felt mostly like period pain type cramps but some more muscular pain as well.

Phoebe88 · 02/07/2019 19:50

Thank you. And everything was ok? Xx

This is like period pain. It has stopped now but lasted about 10 minutes constant aching. X

I’m 5 weeks and have been cramping and having sharp cervix twinges for the last week.
I remember cramping at the time of bfp last time (5 weeks) but I can’t remember how long it lasted as it was 7 years ago. The cramping worries me too, I think it’s natural 😖

Dweebette · 02/07/2019 21:44

I'm 7 weeks today and have had almost continuous cramping for the past 2 weeks. Telling myself it's normal, no bleeding and took another test yesterday which was a very strong positive so fingers crossed. Inside I am terrified

Yamaya · 02/07/2019 21:46

I had these types of cramping with both pregnancies at this stage - everything was fine. I think it's just stretching and activity in the area. Don't worry too much

Yamaya · 02/07/2019 21:48

These pregnancies are now 3 years old and 11 months old Smile

pinksquash13 · 02/07/2019 21:59

Yes I had cramps from 4 weeks to 7 weeks. It felt like mild period pain.

Phoebe88 · 02/07/2019 22:49

Thank you guys! Does make me feel better hearing your stories!
I don't like to re test because when I lost both my babies even after my body had expelled the tissues for a week or two my body still showed I was pregnant on testing. So I mean if I lost the baby tonight. Tomorrow it would still say I'm pregnant because you still have the hormones in your body for a little while.
I don't want to give myself false hope xxx xxx ❤️

Hey, I had similar symptoms and was really worried but contacted my doctor and they said not to worry at all. If there’s spotting or alike then get checked out of course. I’m nervous. I’m approx 8 weeks now and cramping has been gone for a few days which is good. I have a private scan booked for the weekend and I am hoping and praying for a nice strong heartbeat and I may learn to relax (probably not)

Phoebe88 · 03/07/2019 19:47

@Itsme26 thanks for your message 8 weeks is great so have you had a scan yet? ! Ok I do understand that lots of women get cramps and your doctor has said that's normal. But I keep thinking about my first pregnancy and the cramps I had and then I found out they had been me miscarrying and I didn't realise. Basically I can't cope with the no knowing ConfusedConfusedConfusedShockHmm

Hi @pheobe88

I was convinced I was getting my period when I fell pregnant. Same kind of heavy cramping feeling that lasted about 15 mins or so on and off. Was absolutely certain it was going to be my period but it seemed to be implantation 🤷‍♀️

I did later miscarry but that was nothing to do with that.

Im sure u will be just fine 😊💕

WolfInSlutsClothing · 03/07/2019 20:45

I had cramping right up until I was around 14 weeks on DS, as far as I know its pretty normal. Hes now a healthy almost 8 month old. Try not to worry too much ❤

Phoebe88 · 03/07/2019 20:47

@Nrbr16 thank you for your reply !
Did you later go on to have another pregnancy?
Xx

@Phoebe88
I only miscarried at the start of june so I'm still in my first cycle. We have been trying very hard this month 😂 but dont think it's happened this month.

missrose0110 · 03/07/2019 21:22

I had really bad cramps at both 4 and 8 weeks, roughly when my period would be. The cramps were so bad at times and made me so anxious and worried. I'm now 27 weeks with a healthy baby boy. Still adamant those early weeks were the worst. Stay positive!

Phoebe88 · 03/07/2019 22:17

@Nrbr16 TMI !!! 😸 Ok well that's really brave of you guys to start ASAP because We couldn't do it. And if not this month then maybe next! 💕🤞🏼

@missrose0110 thank you for telling me this. It gives me hope! I haven't had any proper cramps today. Just tummy feels slightly funny but maybe that's all my head ! ? I have noticed my boobs have gotten bigger (ever so slightly) and I have really small boobs normally so that's given me a happy distraction 🤪🤩🥳 xxx

So happy to see others have the same symptoms I've had a previous miscarriage and it's so hard not to panic! I'm only 4 weeks pregnant and been getting light cramping but no blood thankfully also anyone else feeling vaginal pressure like I need to wee all the time hahaConfused

hazandduck · 07/07/2019 23:34

I had two miscarriages and then a healthy pregnancy. In all 3 I had awful cramps, with my daughter I actually almost made my DH drive me to hospital it was agony. But it was bowel related Blush And I think just her settling in there! It peaked at around 7-8 weeks.

I am now 9 weeks pregnant with number 2 and had exactly the same. It worries the life out of me still but it isn’t a sign necessarily that it will go wrong! My 19 month old little girl is proof of that.

Also, it is awful and I am sorry for your losses. But it is much rarer to have 3 miscarriages in a row, which is why the NHS don’t offer testing after 2 miscarriages. It devastated me at the time, but it’s because statistically the next pregnancy is likely to be successful.

Crossing everything for you Op that it all works out, this anxious time is horrible x

barnyb · 08/07/2019 13:16

@emmab96 hey hun have you checked with the doc if you have a urine infection? My doc just gave me a course of antibiotics and I feel so much better now. Less bloated and tummy aches have gone. Worth a check! Every time iv been pregnant iv had a urine infection straight away!!
hope your feeling ok! I'm around 5 weeks now and iv not had any cramps since last week! Xxx

barnyb · 08/07/2019 13:19

@hazandduck thank you for your message of encouragement!!! ❤️ that's great news for you with the 3rd and now another little one on the way! And I guess having cramps at the beginning must be your thing ! so strange how everyone is different. Iv not had any cramps since last week so maybe pleased ! Im still feeling sick and tired and slight bloating. Nipples are sore! And boobs are fuller (yey!) 😊 so I'm feeling more positive then I was xxxxxx

emmab96 · 08/07/2019 18:31

@barnyb thanks for the advice! I'm actually going to go to the doctors think I might have thrush so maybe that's causing the problemConfused
