Still flab at 26 weeks!

I’m quite tall and slim, still working out with weights four or five times a week at 26 weeks pregnant. My stomach just looks like a proper beer belly rather than nice hard baby bump. No one can tell I’m pregnant when I suck in. I’m gutted as thought by now I’d have a nice cute bump especially given all my exercise I’m still doing! Hate feeling so fat and hiding in baggy jumpers ☹️ Anyone else been the same?

I didn’t look pregnant with my second until 30 plus weeks! In fact I told the parents in my work place I was leaving and they asked if I was going to another setting! I was like errrm no I’m leaving to have a baby! I’m tall but not slim so I’m not holding out hope of a bump for ages this time! I’m only coming up for 13 weeks now! X

Anyone else?

Although me and my DH could tell, a lot of people didn't really fully notice I was pregnant until gone 30 weeks. It's my first and fairly tall and curvy (5'10, 14/16) and still have a fairly neat bump at nearly 39w. People just carry differently. I've always had a little pot belly which I think hid the bump a bit.

You probably also have strong stomach muscles holding the bump in. As long as your midwife doesn't raise any concerns with growth try not to worry as you may just suddenly wake up and have popped!

Yes, I feel the same! Im 17 weeks, I look pregnant when im standing up, but if i bend over or sit down its so soft and fat looking, its horrible.
This is my second, I had a lovely firm bump with my first and im not fat (although im not toned either lol) Just waiting and hoping it goes firm soon!

This is my sad feeling, I was pretty toned and firm pre pregnancy and still exercising most days with the same weights (just no ab work, crunches etc). I thought it would’ve kept me nice and svelte with bump only but nope, just horrible rolls of fat that I’m having to hide under baggy clothes. By this point I would’ve thought it would shape into a nice bump ☹️☹️

I had a weird bump so have lived in maternity Spanx. My mum didn't look great until about 30ish weeks. I still wear the Spanx though as they're great support for my bump.

It's probably because you're so fit, your core muscles are holding your bump in- I've been told those same muscles really help in labour!
I was intending to keep weight training throughout pregnancy but nausea and dizziness made it very hard early on and then when that stopped my pgp kicked in, so I'm disappointed, definitely lost some muscle, so well done for sticking with it!
Even with some strength loss I didn't feel fully out of the 'fat or pregnant?' stage until 30 weeks, though people who knew me could see I was much bigger than pre-pregnancy. Now at 36 weeks I feel huge but when my PGP's not playing up I'm walking pretty much as normal and don't think I look as far along as I am.
