Baby gender

Hello, my wife is pregnant in 15 weeks and she phoned a clinic to book a 4d scan and they said to her that a 4d scan can't tell the baby gender and she needs to do another different scan to find out if it's a boy or girl.
Is this true or they are just trying to get some more money out of us?

I wouldn't bother with a 4d scan. They're a scam and the most you will get is an image that will at best look like an alien and at worst a mini Winston Churchill. They always look awful.

Traditional scans are better.

Id wait until 20wks to do any gender scan as getting it too early may end up it being wrong, i thought at any scan they could tell.i know u have to be over 16wks for a gender scan.

Sounds pretty normal, they will have range of scans that they can do and will charge accordingly for each one. Price lists are usually online,
