hi ladies
I went for my 1st scan yesterday 11w4d and was told my baby stopped growing at 6 weeks, no heart beat. I have got to go back in 10 days time for another scan. my body hasn't started to release the pregnancy and I don't no how long to wait? it will be 6w1d the baby would have passed buy the time I go back to the hospital.

through my pregnancy I have had severe back pain but got sent home to rest, had spotting for about half an hour an then nothing throughout the whole pregnancy. when talking to my doctors or midwife I was told this is normal and the baby will be fine. my bloods came back fine and my hcg levels were normal.

im really confused about the whole situation, can anyone offer any advice

I'm sorry @bellawoolley1. I had a missed miscarriage in April but mine was picked up earlier. I knew from 6+6 that it wasn't progressing and miscarried at 9+4.

Are you certain about your dates? It could be you ovulated later in your cycle, although 5 weeks is a big difference. I'm sorry you're in limbo, I was for nearly a month and it's horrible.

Sending love Flowers

I'm so sorry you're going through this OP. I had something similar last year with my first mc. Started a little brown bleeding at 11w and went to EPU. Was scanned and baby stopped growing at 5 weeks. I was sent away to come back to be rescanned in a week time but I passed the baby the night before the second scan at just over 12 weeks. It's a really tough thing to process. There really are no words to describe how heartbreaking this is. I hope you have good support around you. On the miscarriage/pregnancy loss boards there is a really useful thread on what to expect during a mc. I found that thread so helpful so added to it after my experience. Be kind to yourself Flowers

It's good to have hope but also try prepare yourself for the worst (you'll never be fully prepared emotionally though if the worse were to happen).

We still don't have a child at home with us. On my 3rd pregnancy at the moment but not confident this will be our rainbow. It's early day as only 6+2.

I was a very similar position to you and had a MMC discovered at 12 week scan.

They were certain pregnancy wasn't progressing but had to follow guidelines wait a week to scan again and then a ww more days before opted to have pregnancy removed.

I never spotted, never had any signs that things weren't as they should be. I have no idea how long my body would have kept working at it.
Pregnancy hadn't progressed since around 5weeks. They struggled to accurately date as body began to reabsorb.
