12 week scan

I had my booking appointment last week on 18/06 and I was given a scan date and time although midwife said this may change and I'll get a letter confirming date time etc
This was over a week ago and I haven't recieved a letter about my scan.
Is this normal?
I can't remember when I had my scan date with my last pregnancy lol
Should I call my GP and ask what's happening or maybe the hospital?

How far away is the scan appointment? I would give it until the week before and if you still haven't received anything, give the scan department a call and they will be able to confirm your appointment

Its 2 weeks today.
I called my GP who told me to call the hospital.
Hospital said nothing has been sent out but they are awaiting some to come from their manager or something and to wait a few days before what I think my scan date is and call them again.

You don’t always get much notice so I wouldn’t panic too much. I would call the scan department again next week if you haven’t heard but they can do scans up to 14 weeks so if they change the date you might still have a little while until you hear

Thanks I'm going to call them a few days before the date the midwife told me (i think it was more of a request cause she did say it may change)
I think things have changed since I had my last baby cause then the midwife called the hospital at the booking, told me my scan appointment then I had a letter confirming it a fee days later. This time its been almost 2 weeks and no letter lol

I want my scan so I can start telling everyone cause although I'm only 10 weeks I am starting to show lol

Just thought I'd update people who may be in a similar situation.
I called the hospital again today (1 week before proposed scan) to be told that my GP/midwife has not referred me to them and to chase my GP up on it.
I called my doctors who insisted I was referred on 20/05.
Doctors receotionist rang the hospital to try and see whats going on.
Receptionist (doctors) called me to say the community midwife will be calling me shortly to sort it out.
An hour and a half later I'm still waiting for this call.
So basically looks like someone hasn't done their job properly and I've been lost in the system.
I also had my blood tests done almost 2 weeks ago and have yet to receive the results.
This happen to anyone else? how long did you wait?

You have a bit of time. It doesn't have to be done dead on 12 weeks. Mine was for 13.6 but had to re arrange due to dp works so it's now going to be at 12.3.

I waited for over 3 hours so I called the hospital again. They've booked my scan now and sent my appointment letter out. Its 3 days after I was originally told and my partner can't make it now as he has to pick our son up from school but at least its sorted.
