High abdominal circumference on growth scan

I am 36 weeks today and had a midwife appointment yesterday, she took my bump measurements and said that baby hadn't grown that much so sent me for a growth scan.
Turns out her measurements were really off and baby has either had a big growth spurt or the previous measurements were that accurate either.
Now they are concerned that the abdominal circumference is above the 95th percentile so I've got to go back for a glucose test.
Has anyone else had experience with this measurement being high? Now worried this is going to be a huge baby or there's a problem.
First baby was 7lb 5

I had this with my second baby - he was measuring on the top end of what is considered normal around his tummy at 36 weeks so I had to have scans at 38 weeks and 40 weeks too. He was totally fine but did come (of his own accord) at 42 weeks and 10lb. (If it makes you feel better it was a vaginal birth with no stitches or tearing though some bruising, and I had mega strength epidural). I did get a bit cross they were getting me worried even though he was in the normal band, just at the top of it.
Also I did go on to get gestational diabetes in my third pregnancy.

My DS2 measured 3 weeks ahead from 28 weeks on abdominal circumference... he was induced at 38 weeks for reduced movements and he'd stopped growing on yen abdominal curve but when he came out he was all in proportion! I was expecting this huge belly 🤣

I was told at 36 week growth scan that abdomen was about 80th percentile but femurs only on the 8th percentile. Naturally we worried but she was born last week with perfectly average length legs and a long skinny body weighing 7lbs. It can be quite inaccurate at this stage I think so try not to worry too much. Easier said than done I know!

They said this about my DD. She was fine. They can get these things wrong. Try not to worry.

I had this during my second pregnancy, they said it was a concern for vaginal birth only.
Tested positive for GD in first pregnancy, borderline for second one. The baby was 7lb 14 oz but over 91st percentile in height and weight by 8 weeks.

Thank you for your replies! Definitely reassuring to know that others have been fine in this situation.
Got my glucose test next Wednesday so hopefully will know more after that. Have packed a couple of bigger sleepsuits in my hospital bag too!

It is hard to remember this but even large babies are tiny. My babies were 9lb, 10lb and 8lb at 40, 42 and 39 weeks but they were still baby sized babies fitting into crook of arm and all wearing new baby sleepsuits for a few weeks before aged 0-3. In this weather footless fine anyhow so length won’t matter.

Yes I had exactly this, approx 34 wks I think. Tummy was measuring off the chart. Had the GT, negative. There were concerns baby was going to be around the high 9s but he came on time at 8.11 and yes with an absolutely massive tummy! He still has a big round belly but is perfectly healthy and gorgeous. Just struggle to do up buttons on some of his baby jeans Grin
