6 week bleeding

Hi all,

I found out I'm pregnant about 10 days ago and had literally just started to wrap my head around the idea (huge surprise third baby) in the last couple of days and today I have experienced some bleeding.

It was quite bright red (couple of tiny clots) and has now mostly stopped, no tummy pains.

I don't have my initial GP appt until Tuesday and I haven't told work.

I know the correct procedure is to go to EPU tomorrow and get an early scan done BUT here's my dilemma.

This exact thing has happened in both previous pregnancies. I go to EPU, they scan and say it's too early to find a heartbeat and to come back in a week. Both times it has been fine and I've had 2 healthy babies despite the bleeding.

Would you go to EPU anyway or just wait and see what happens in the next week or so?

If I was miscarrying at 6 weeks, would I need any kind of procedure or would it just pass? Just wondering if it's worth putting myself through sitting at hospital for hours if they're just going to tell me to come back in a week and it's unexplained bleeding?
