Should I be worried?

Hi mum's.
I'm after some advice / support please.
So, I am 5 weeks (approx) past ovulation, 16 days late for AF but got a BFN ☹️ last weekend.

Today I went to my GP due to my late period as this is very unlike me, I'm incredibly regular.

I saw the advance nurse practitioner (ANP) who spoke to me like I wasting her time. She completely glossed over my concerns & told me a BFN was a BFN, I was in and out in 2 minutes.
This has left me slightly crestfallen, as I explained my late period, that I'd been experiencing nausea, implantation spotting, fatigue etc... But it seemed to fall on deaf ears... she did, however, after some browbeating, agree to send me for a blood test to, in her words 'prove the inevitable'

I guess I'm asking for your experiences and wondering if should I be worried about missing AF, or could I be pregnant and getting false BFN? Any and all stories and advice welcome.

It might be worth going back. The initial pregnancy hormones which trigger the line on the test can change and 5 weeks dpo is later than many tests would work. I know when I was pregnant with DD (ivf) i had a bro on the testing day confirmed by a blood test and tested again about a week later which showed a bfn. I had to be talked down by the nurse!

Its probably a good idea for you to treat yourself as pregnant for a week or so and try and get another appointment.

Have you not done a test since last weekend? Do another, it might be positive now!? Sounds like she was rude to be honest, I’m sorry you experienced that, but at least you were assertive and got the blood test agreed to 👍🏻 I’d say do another test, if it’s still negative see what the blood tests say and book an appointment with a different person!!!

Agree you should do another test. Sorry she was so rude
