Feeling movements at 11 weeks.. impossible?

Hi, I'm 11+3 weeks today with my second. The past couple of days I've felt an occasional 'flutter'. This morning I felt it just as a woke up and again after my one allowed cup of coffee. I haven't felt bloated or anything, and it genuinely feels like the early movements I felt with DD (although that was much later, like week 18 or something). But it can't be movements, or can it?

I've felt movements at 12/13 weeks with both of mine, but it could be gas.

Sofin · 27/06/2019 10:35

@BertieBotts I suppose that's true, although I was very bloated earlier on and that felt very different. But I suppose it's more likely, haha

Second babies are easier to feel because your womb is matured/stretched/whatever the word

I felt pfb at 11 weeks though

I'm currently 22 weeks with my second and could swear I felt flutters very early approx 12/13 weeks, didn't know if it was just gas but was nice to think it was baby :)

I always felt mine very early, its very reassuring, enjoy the pregnancy.

No with my second I definitely felt movements at 11 weeks. With my first I didn’t until 20 weeks!! Both anterior placentas Confused

Sofin · 27/06/2019 11:48

Thanks, guys! It honestly felt like movements, so it's very reassuring that others have felt it early too xx

I'm having my third and I can swear I can feel movements might be gas but I know what has feels like and it's different x

It depends how strong your core is. If it’s strong then it’s unlikely even if it’s a second pregnancy - my sister has a strong core and only felt movements with the first at 20 weeks at 21 with the second even without anterior placentas. I’m on my first and have started to feel movements from 15-16 weeks as my core is weak anyway.

BertieBotts · 27/06/2019 14:18

Oh that's interesting. I do have a very weak core.

Justus22 · 27/06/2019 16:17

For the tiny size of baby at 11 weeks I can't see how it is possible for you to feel a 0.25ounce fetus so I'd guess wind but in fairness I have never felt any of my 4 babies earlier than 20/21 plus weeks, not even a flutter. Interestingly I think I have a reasonably strong core too though. Who knows. Doesn't hurt to think its baby xx

Angelinthenightx · 27/06/2019 17:02

Im on baby no6 yeah it is possible, ive felt my past 4 babies really early on,from 12wks ish im now 21 wks have felt movments every day from 17wks,u have to be really intune with your body to feel it.my husband felt this baby move at 20wks. X

5greenflowers · 27/06/2019 17:04

I did, but it was because I had a UTI and baby was hitting my bladder.

DiploCat1 · 27/06/2019 17:14

I am also 11+3 with my second and I swear I can feel the baby doing little flips. And I don't think its gas because I seem to have a lot of that atm (sorry TMI!) and its a totally different sensation. I have rubbish core strength, it was bad before DD1 but is now none existent...
