Hi all I brought sweet almond oil for skin as it's meant to penetrate the skin more then most creams that just sit on top
Off skin layer but there's mixed reviews online saying this can cause preterm labour but then I saw an oil made for Perineal massage with almond oil in soo I'm totally confused what's safe and what's not

The product you're looking at is for use from 36 weeks on, isn't it? And you use a tiny bit every other day?

The study you're looking at found that women who reported using "a herbal supplement" every day for at least 3 months during pregnancy were slightly more likely to have a child weighing less than 5.5 lb than women who didn't. It's only one study, it wasn't a massive effect, it was about all herbal supplements, not just almond oil, and the finding hasn't (as far as I can see) been replicated.

If you're still worried I'd contact Expert Midwives and ask them to explain.
