Okay so I’ve just found out I’m pregnant with baby number 3... still in total shock! Anyway.... I had my 2nd babe nearly 2 years ago & was 12stone when I was 6weeks pregnant (obviously gained throughout & after) & they were so rude & horrible about it.

This time I’ve gained a silly amount of weight & im about 16/17stone. (Please no horrible comments ) I am desperately trying to shift the weight & was before I found out.

I haven’t yet seen a midwife but I am beyond terrified of when I do as I know they are going to be sooo much worse than last time & I don’t know what to do? Is there any way I can lose weigh healthy & keep baby safe & my weight lower?

Please any help will be so appreciated

Be really strict with yourself about what you eat this time round whilst you're pregnant and you'll make it so much easier for yourself once the baby's born. Keep away from the sugary starchy rubbish and you'll be glad you did when there's less to lose later on.

I was heavier than you when I was pregnant with DD - BMI over 35. Nobody was EVER horrible to me about it. Obviously it was mentioned - during scans for example if they struggled to get a clear picture - but never in an unkind way.

I worked really hard to eat sensibly and thanks to sickness I lost 2 stone in the first trimester so ended up the same weight as I was when I started on the day I gave birth, most of which I lost overnight (large baby, no GD though, just naturally large!). I had a totally straightforward pregnancy with absolutely no complications relating to my weight whatsoever, and was comfortable right up to the very end. Keep active, keep healthy and you'll be totally fine.
